Leslie is a terrific design partner! She listens to her clients and gives them exactly what they need, even if they do not know it! :) She is detail oriented, curious about tile and experienced, too. Leslie redesigned two thirds of our home and it has been delightful ever since. We met Leslie on a Kitchen and Bath Design Tour and we were immediately drawn to her enthusiasm and skill. Her attention to detail, function and beauty was very impressive. We noticed that cats were accommodated by integrating the litter box into the cabinetry. We wanted that feature as well.
We met and she asked us how we entertained and how we used our kitchen. When we explained our tag-team way of entertaining, she integrated that into the design of the kitchen. It has worked brilliantly. Leslie insists on perfection and she is prepared to insist on the best quality products and the best installation possible. If something is not right, she will make it so. She insisted that our shower door be installed three times. She had the cabinet maker redo the finish on our wall unit because the color was not right. She made sure the contractor put an outlet on the right side of the bathroom sink because I am right handed with a hair dryer. It is these kind of details that are daily reminders of how grateful we are to Leslie and her ability to customize and design with function and beauty in mind.
I find Leslie to be incredibly energetic, committed, and focused on her clients. She is also innovative and creative in her design solutions. Leslie and I worked together using Neil Kelly Cabinets, and she is unique in her ability to focus on fine details while keeping the big, creative picture in mind.
Our bathroom was in dire need of a refresh--it was outdated, lacked storage, and didn't comport with our design aesthetic (too traditional).
Leslie was recommended by a friend. She made the process very easy, providing design and construction ideas and detailed plans; she also helped us set a budget and connected us with an excellent contractor.
Now our bath is beautiful and spacious. We are very happy with the results!
Over the year it has been a pleasure to be associated with Leslie through ASID and watch her become a highly respected interior designer. The Interior Design Program at Mesa had an annual fundraising event, Day with Designers, where the public was invited to learn about interior design topics and the value of hiring a professional designer. Yearly, I asked Leslie to be a present. I admire her professionalism and expertise in the field. Her seminar was always highly attended. She also allowed me to bring my student to her job site on a field trip where she gave them an excellent overview of a remodel project. Leslie Cohen is a wonderful designer. I have known her personally for over 30 years. I referred her to a co-worker that had a fire in her kitchen and needed remodeling. My co-worker could not say enough about how professional Leslie is, she was on time, in budget and created a wonderful kitchen.I have also attended events at various clients homes in which Leslie was hired to remodel, the kitchen and living rooms. We have used Leslie's design service for two projects. The first was a remodeling of 3 bathrooms including a master bath in late 2019. The second was a new deck and screen porch redo that we are just starting after a pause for the pandemic. Leslie is very knowledgeable about design considerations and choices of materials to use. She helped us think through issues that we would not have thought about on our own. Leslie is personable and easy to work with, generous with her time, and clear about costs. We always felt that she was working with us to achieve a look that we wanted rather than telling us what she thought we should do. Leslie listens well and is able to use feedback to tailor a project to the needs of her clients. We would definitely use her again!
We hired Leslie to design our kitchen when we built our house. Unfortunately, our architect proposed a kitchen that was not functional. Leaslie interviewed us, she listened and understood our needs. Her ideas and innovative concepts results in a very functional kitchen. if we were to build another house, we would call on her again.
Fabulous - our primary bedroom ceiling is incredible and the primary bathroom functions much better and is as beautiful as any spa! Closet is fantastic, beautiful, and functional. Laundry room is the nicest I've seen. The guest bathroom is beautiful, functional, better shower and cabinet.
